Our Work
RESEARCH
At SALT HOUSE, we simultaneously track and study development indices across different regions on the continent. The most prominent is the Human Development Index (HDI) which according to the World Economic Forum and the United Nations, is an effective tool for measuring the welfare of human capital — a foremost contributor to sustainable development in any society. In addition, we assess government policies across the continent in relation to education, employment, healthcare, infrastructures, equality, rural development and conflict resolutions in an attempt to comprehend and communicate the impact of government policies on the different strata of society. Insights from our research are used to develop recommendation reports serving as a guide to further policy scrutiny, as well as designing effective development projects.

DIALOGUES AND EVENTS

As an independent think-tank on inclusive policy and infrastructural
development and reforms, we organize exclusive live and virtual events hosting industry experts, government representatives, community leaders, social innovators and the general public to discuss challenges and panaceas in Education, Healthcare, Employability and Infrastructures. Our symposiums create a platform for networking amongst industry experts therefore fostering collaboration for socioeconomic development.
ENGAGEMENTS
At SALT HOUSE, our deployed research teams across our operating regions organize periodic town hall meetings in rural communities to engage members in their development, giving room for internal ideation and innovation. To accomplish this, we;
- Educate members on policies and how they can get involved in influencing favorable policies;
- Discuss impediments and possibilities for development in these respective communities for the economic and social development in the region.
- Educate members of the community on how they can and should participate in politics and modern democracy, as well as their fundamental civil human rights.

Reports

Following our monthly research, we publish credible reports on the development status in secluded regions and groups in Africa. We help developmental stakeholders with the intelligence and insight into inclusive recommendations for policy and infrastructural reforms and deployment. At the core of our communication is to facilitate transparency in development, accountability in governance and integrity in policy and infrastructural recommendations.
