We are seeking a Communications Director for developing and implementing the communications strategy for the organisation. Successful candidate will work closely with the organisation’s leadership team to develop messaging that effectively conveys the mission and values of the organisation, while also engaging stakeholders, donors, and the broader community. The Communications Manager will oversee all aspects of the organisation’s communication efforts, including public relations, media outreach, social media, website management, and content creation.

Offer: N120,000-N150,000 Monthly [Health Insurance + Gym Membership Inclusive]

Job Description 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the organisation’s overall mission and goals.
  • Create and oversee the production of all communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, annual reports, social media content, and website updates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists, pitching stories and securing media coverage for the organisation.
  • Manage the organisation’s social media accounts, ensuring regular updates and engagement with followers.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends, and provide regular reports to the leadership team.
  • Work closely with program staff to identify and promote success stories, and develop compelling content that demonstrates the impact of the organisation’s work.
  • Manage the organisation’s website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and reflective of the organisation’s brand and messaging.
  • Plan and execute events, including press conferences, fundraisers, and other promotional activities.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the organisation, responding to media inquiries and representing the organisation at events and conferences.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across all aspects of the organisation.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, with a strong network of media contacts.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience managing social media accounts and creating content for a variety of platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a collaborative and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of non-profit operations and fundraising strategies preferred.

  • Microsoft 365 Suite (Sharepoint, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Zoho, Mailchimp.
  • Excellent in copywriting, content writing and contextualization.
