Governing Council Members
David Ojo is a visionary leader and business strategist who has assumed different leadership roles and founded business organizations in a bid to proffer solutions to economic problems.
David leadership roles can be traced back to his secondary school days as the Head Prefect. In 2018, he was elected as the President of the Distance Learning Institute Students Association/Union at the University of Lagos, overseeing over 13,000 students. From 2009 – 2010, Ojo served as the Logistics/Distribution Manager for Adakar Groups of Companies. From 2010-2013, David was the Project/Procurement Manager for DW contracted to Ehibio Nigeria LTD. In 2016 David founded the Q-project and Facility Management Company, providing maintenance, estate agency, construction, logistics and facility management services.
David holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, Akoka Lagos (First class), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Transport Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, a Higher National Diploma in Shipping and Logistics Management from Nigeria Institutes of Shipping, Apapa Lagos (Upper Credit) and a National Diploma in Nautical science from the Maritime Academy Oron, Akwa-Ibom.

David Owumi is a UK-based social entrepreneur and Founder of VisionCTRL, a business strategy firm in Lagos-Nigeria, working with over 4000 early-stage and pre-seed investment startups to design, prototype, and launch disruptive businesses in Africa. David’s work at VisionCTRL since its instituting in 2018 has been aimed at ensuring the world’s most valuable companies also emerge from Africa, and particularly, female-led businesses. David serves solely as a founding director at SALT HOUSE— The Institute for Inclusive Governance and Sustainable Development, operating in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the Benin Republic.
He is a faculty member of the Association of Public Policy Analysis and Management (U.S.A.), the International Institute of Business Analysis (Canada) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (U.S.A.). He currently serves on the board of DAW as Director of Training and Development Programs. Indeed, David is passionate about female liberation in Africa. In the United Kingdom, he’s President of the Peace Society with the University of Bradford, a not-for-profit working towards facilitating global peace and international development. He also founded the UK-based ideation hub, the Bradford Entrepreneurship Club, working with entrepreneurs from Africa, Europe, Middle East, and South-East Asia.
