Scope of Work
At Salt House, we are inspired by the need to secure the future of every African child and youth.
Education
Improving access to quality education in Sub-Saharan Africa remains sacrosanct as educational exclusion in the regions remains high across gender and location. We track educational development through accessing deployment of infrastructures, allocation of government educational expenditures and educational outputs.

Healthcare

Global technological improvements have considerably growing life expectancy across the world. However, plagues of Ebola, HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Waterborne Diseases etc. still poses a threat in Sub-Saharan Africa. While applaudable progress in tackling these crucial issues have been recorded, inequality in the distribution of medical support cannot be an oversight.
Employment
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on developing nations, particularly those in Africa poses to be an inexhaustive list. Undoubtedly, rising unemployment and the strangling of SME’s forcing closure of over 500,000 businesses, multiple protests and consequently, growing insecurity currently threatens Africa’s sustainable development. We ensure to access the distribution of employment opportunities and give recommendations to partners on strategies for an inclusive deployment of opportunities to revamp economic and social stability.

Infrastructures

Basic infrastructures such as the internet to improve access to information and
informal education, good road networks for the transportation of people, goods and services, clean water supply, electricity and modern housing remains a challenge in Africa, particularly in resource-rich rural communities. A fundamental approach to resolving this issue is to systematically identify the regions lacking these infrastructures and the factors impeding the deployment of these base supports.
